Should we really even talk about politics with friends and neighbors?

I mean, we have the right to our own opinions and of free speech as pointed out in the Bill of Rights, but for our own sake should we really even discuss or debate it? Every time somebody starts talking politics the conversation gets pretty heated and eventually turns into a shouting match. Is this where our country is headed? Towards another secession?

Note: Don’t be rude and don’t tell me whether you like Obama or McCain because frankly, I don’t care.

Why are teenagers so uninformed about politics and the world nowadays?

Speaking as a 16 year old, I am really into politics and what is happening, I really keep up with it, but about 95% of the kids I know in my school have no idea about anything happening.

Why does it seem like teens are so uninformed these days? You see how all these kids used to help train for war, raise money for wars, protest (like for Vietnam), and such, but now it is so sad.

Will it ever change?

And I don’t mean tuning into hear about President Obama during the elections.

Mhm.

Arnold Schwarzenegger governor of California due to movies?

Does anyone else believe that Arnold Schwarzenegger would not be governor of California if it wasn’t for him becoming famous with his Terminator and other movies? I don’t think he’d of had any chance if it wasn’t for his acting career.

Who do you think will be elected President of the United States in 2008?

Since Herbert Hoover, America has elected 5 former governors, 3 former vice presidents, 1 former senator, and 1 former general to become President of the United States:

Roosevelt > former Governor of New York
Truman > former Vice President
Eisenhower > former U.S. General
Kennedy > former U.S. Senator
Nixon > former Vice President
Carter > former Governor of Georgia
Reagan > former Governor of California
Bush I > former Vice President
Clinton > former Governor of Arkansas
Bush II > former Governor of Texas

Based on the research over the past 70 years… voters seem to favor former Governors and Vice Presidents over Senators and Generals. Mayors have never been elected…

Based on this information, who do you think has the best chance of being elected President of the United States in 2008?
